Geraldine in a Bottle: 4 solutions to memorizing stubborn passages

Geraldine in a Bottle: 4 solutions to memorizing stubborn passages.

Ok - juries are rapidly approaching!! How are your pieces in terms of memorization? Take a look at this blog post, take a deep breath, and get back to work! You can do it - just get out of your own way and trust the work we've done all semester. (And do your work earlier in the semester....)

Day Two: Your latest musical obsession

Again - I'm' thinking outside the box on this one. My latest favorite composing team is Kerrigan and Lowdermilk. You can find their website here and purchase their sheet music here, along with several other upcoming musical writers. Many thanks to Jackie and Erik for that last link!!

For your listening enjoyment, I give you "Say the Word" from The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown.

Day One: The first musical you saw.

Ok - so this is the first one I remember seeing, and the one that absolutely started my love of musical theater. Camelot. Thank you Baldwinsville Theater Guild for introducing me to musical theater! Hands down - the following video is wonderful and is the DVD to watch. If I can't see Julie Andrews on the DVD, then Meg Bussert is a perfect second!
